Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
What is NLP?
NLP uses mental and cognitive processes to address behaviour and create new models of perception. This helps you eliminate ineffective patterns and adopt new strategies for success.
NLP enables us to learn and identify how we create our own experiences.
We perceive, filter and evaluate what’s going on as we interact with others:
• The thoughts we think, moment to moment &
• The language we use with ourselves and others &
• The things we do now in this present moment
• Do we make powerful choices in the moment or do we react to events and circumstances around us?
We invite you to consider ‘What do you want to create for you?’ and then join us in assisting you to make this clearer and create those results.
Our Mind & Body are interconnected. We experience through our senses:
• Visual – we see and imagine
• Auditory – we hear and speak
• Kinaesthetic – we feel
• Olfactory – we smell
• Gustatory – we taste
The verbal and non-verbal language we use to communicate
The behavioural patterns that we run, the sequence of our actions; How they help or hinder us, how to change so we can achieve our goals!
NLP techniques are based on the concept that you already have all the internal resources and capabilities you need to effect change in your life and the lives of those around you. These techniques give you the ability to choose an emotional or mental state and hold it – for as long as you want, whenever you want.
• Set your goal (define precisely what you want)
• Take action to achieve your goal
• Evaluate the changes produced by your actions
• Change your action plan if necessary to achieve better results
NLP with Linda Shalloe
Every 1.5 hour consultation is tailored to suit your unique needs. We commence with understanding the issues affecting you, during which I will take a personal history before moving on to defining your desired outcomes.
What happens next is entirely based around your individual needs, but a range of NLP techniques may be applied at different points during the consultation to give you effective tools and teach you skills to achieve your outcomes.
Further sessions are usually needed to complete or continue the process. No two NLP sessions are ever the same. The sessions will be entirely shaped around where you are at, your preferences and needs. Further sessions usually lasts approximately 1 hour. The number of sessions required varies but two to six sessions are usually sufficient to experience positive change and achieve your desired outcome.
